Da Nang is known as one of the educational and cultural hubs of Vietnam, and is also one of the country’s largest cities. Da Nang is home to a plethora of breathtaking beaches such as My Khe and Non Nuoc because of its long coastline. Da Nang is located along the Han River which made the French call the city ‘Tourane’. Da Nang spans an area of 1,200 km₂ and is home to around 800,000 residents. The city is placed on the path of the North-South railway and national route 1A. Da Nang is not only a convenient location for land transport, it also has an accessible port. Da Nang lies along the border with Thua Thien Hue to the north and Quang Nam province to the south. The city is 764km to Hanoi, 964km to Ho Chi Minh City to the South and 108km to Hue, the ancient capital.

Da Nang has varied terrain, which is coastal or mountainous. The sloping, mountainous terrain stretches to the south and north-south of Vietnam. The high peaks of the terrain tower up to 1,500 meters.

Da Nang is a tropical wonderland located in the monsoon belt. The province has two seasons, which is the rainy season from August to December, and dry season from January to July. The hottest temperatures are in June, July, and August. The province experiences an average rainfall of 2,500mm, and the most rainfall falls in October and November.

Nature has blessed Da Nang with close proximity to three cultural heritage sites namely Hue, My Son, and Hoi An. The province is not only at the center of three culturally significant provinces, it also has renowned attractions that tourists will never forget. Da Nang is home to the famous Hai Van pass, which is dubbed as the grandest pass in Vietnam. Aside from Hai Van pass, the province fronts the Son Tra peninsula which offers visitors breathtaking scenery. At the foot of Son Tra, tourists can enjoy Da spring, Bai Rang, Bai Bac, Bai But, and Bai Nom. Ba Ba – Suio Mo is a booming eco-tourism destination for visitors from Da Nang. Ngu Hanh Son Mountain in Ba Ba –Suio Mo is a famous tourist destination in Vietnam.

Da Nang is also blessed with long coastlines that offer pristine beaches such as My Khe, Nam O, and Non Nuoc. The Son Tra peninsula has coral reefs which are perfect for snorkeling and diving. Da Nang is also rich in natural minerals such as granite, clay, pebbles, and white sand.

Da Nang has two distinct symbols, the Han River and the Han River Bridge, the first ever bridge in Vietnam. The Han River Bridge represents new life and the dreams of Da Nang. The beautiful Han River Bridge is not only used for economic or as a means for transportation, the bridge is a cultural icon in Da Nang. The pristine beaches of Da Nang are one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. The combination of culture, nature, and adventure make Da Nang an ideal vacation destination.
